Wine grapes from least to most tannins
Gamay, pinot noir, sangiovese, tempranillo, zinfandel, syrah, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, nebbiolo.

Where did this list come from? You must specify a growing site/region to have this discussion, plus clonal selections…so many different factors here. As a broad example, most New World Merlots are certainly NOT more tannic than than most N. Rhone Syrah or Sangiovese from Tuscany.
