Webmail
NOTE: This webmail client has not been maintained or worked on since early 2004. These days I use Squirrel Mail on my own server. I’m leaving this page up in case this is helpful to someone as an example of mail protocols in Python.
A web-based POP3/SMTP client written in Python. If your ISP provides you e-mail but doesn’t have a web interface to it, this is what you need. Set some simple configuration settings, drop it into your web space, and off you go.
Features include:
- POP3 client
- SMTP client
- Optional SMTP authorisation
- Attachments: Full MIME support
- HTML e-mail
- Bulk mail delete
- Secure password storage
- It’s free (as in beer and speech)!

Yep, I’m here because of the credit card generator. I rec’d one of those “Your paypal account has been compromised” e-mails so I decided that I had some free time to feed them BS information to keep them busy and hope they got caught. Of course, I couldn’t get around the credit card number part. Thanks to this site I was able to put together the generator in MS-Excel and feed them about 50 numbers (hey, that was enough!), BS e-mail addresses, PINs, etc. I hope they use one of the numbers and get busted. Thanks again. Some interesting reading here to keep the mind sharp.
Regards.

PS - Good thing the ‘Spam Protection’ question wasn’t 2+2? because I would have entered ‘5′ with the assumption they were very large values of ‘2′.
